Proving Ethical Origins Of Our Cotton With Isotope Testing
We build our products on an ethical foundation that honors human rights through every step of the process. This begins with where we source our cotton. To ensure that our supply chain is free of cotton produced under forced-labor conditions in China's Xinjiang Region, we will be continuously conducting isotope testing on our existing inventory across our distribution network to confirm its ethical origins. Not only is this the right thing to do, but it ensures that you, our customers, can confidently stand behind the products you sell, confidently leading with your values.
At Blank Elegance, responsibility means conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner, supporting human rights, and engaging, respecting and supporting the communities and cultures with which we work. As long-time supporters of ethical working conditions, our workplace standards exceed those required by both the Fair Labor Association (FLA) and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP).
Monitoring Social Compliance
We conduct regular audits, conducted by Blank Elegance staff, mandated third parties, or auditors from organizations of which we are members, at all factories we own or do business with. Audits result in a color-coded ratings system which tracks and identifies areas of improvement.
We recognize that noncompliance with our Workplace Code of Conduct may occur, and we commit to working with our business partners to resolve challenging issues. However, if we find that a supplier is unwilling to remediate noncompliance or if a Zero Tolerance violation occurs, we reserve the right to terminate our business relationship.
We seek open dialog that enables our suppliers to alert us should some of our business practices have a negative impact on working conditions at the factory level and encourage them to contact us at any time if there are any barriers to upholding our Workplace Code of Conduct.

Labor abuse continues to exist today. Some facilities have unsafe working conditions and extended hours, many even have inadequate pay scales. Inhumane practices within the fashion industry still exist and need to be stopped. We are committed to the fair treatment of workers throughout our entire supply chain.
We are working with our global supply chain partners to create conditions so that:
1. No worker pays for their job.
2. Workers retain control of their travel documents and have full freedom of movement.
3. Every worker knows the basic terms of their employment before leaving home.
We certify that none of our cotton is sourced from China's Xinjiang Region, where there is evidence of the use of prison labor and situations of forced labor.
